Tucked away in farmland between the coast and West Salem, are a few small parks lush with coastal rain forest. Mill Creek Park, a Polk County park, is one such small park. A large creek, almost a river, flows through a divided park. A road splits this park into two sections, where the creek flows under a bridge to a second day use area. It is a cool respite from the summer heat. Dust from the nearby gravel road made for some cool shots of sunrays dancing over the water.
